  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

Instructions

  1. Slice the bananas into thick rounds.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
  3. Once the butter is melted, stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Add the banana slices in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on the first side, until golden and caramelized.
  6. Carefully flip the banana slices and cook for 1 to 2 more minutes.
  7. Drizzle in the maple syrup or honey and let it bubble for about 30 seconds.
  8. Spoon the warm caramelized bananas and syrup into a bowl and serve immediately.
