Low Calorie Banana Snickers

A healthy and low-calorie dessert featuring bananas, peanut butter, and dark chocolate.

  • 4 medium bananas
  • 6 tablespoons peanut butter powder
  • 3 tablespoons plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice each one in half lengthwise. Place them on a parchment-lined tray or plate.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the peanut butter powder, Greek yogurt, water, and honey until smooth and creamy. Add a little more water if needed until it spreads easily.
  3. Spoon and spread the peanut butter mixture over the cut side of each banana half.
  4. Freeze the bananas for 20 to 30 minutes until the topping is set.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips with the coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the banana halves.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts.
  8. Freeze again for 20 to 30 minutes, or until firm. Serve cold.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the freezer.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
